Protect your privacy from urban neighbors and close surroundings with our range of privacy screening solutions, available for immediate pickup in the Bordeaux area. Districlos Mérignac supplies both homeowners and professionals with robust privacy options designed to withstand the Atlantic climate while enhancing your property.
Privacy screening built for Atlantic winds
Bordeaux’s proximity to the ocean means frequent and sometimes strong westerly winds that can challenge outdoor fencing. It’s essential to choose a privacy screen that filters the wind without turning your fence into a sail that could damage the structure.
Our privacy slats for rigid fence panels and our high-density screens are engineered for optimal strength against local weather. Unlike entry-level products that may tear or fade quickly under the southwestern sun, our materials are made for long-lasting performance. All items are available for immediate pickup at our Mérignac warehouse, so you can secure and shelter your yard without waiting.
A look that fits both classic and modern homes
Bordeaux architecture ranges from traditional stone houses to modern city homes, requiring attention to detail in outdoor finishes. We offer solutions that blend seamlessly with this diverse urban landscape. Whether you want an artificial hedge to add greenery to a paved courtyard or composite slats to highlight a modern patio, our catalog covers a wide range of styles.
To ensure your privacy screen stays secure, it’s important to check the strength of your existing fence. If you need to upgrade the support structure, take a look at our full range of fencing in Bordeaux, Gironde before installing your privacy solution. Our team at the Avenue Gustave Eiffel store can advise you on the best combinations to enhance your property while keeping your neighborhood’s character in mind.
FAQ
Are privacy screens resistant to Bordeaux’s winter humidity?
Yes, our products are designed to handle local weather, including the persistent humidity of Bordeaux winters. Our screens and slats are rot-proof and UV-treated, preventing mold and fading, so they stay looking clean year after year despite the region’s rainfall.
What’s the maximum allowed height for privacy screens in Bordeaux?
The Bordeaux Metropolitan Area’s zoning rules set specific limits depending on your neighborhood and whether the fence is on the street or a property line. Typically, the maximum height is between 6 and 6.5 feet, but always check with your local city office before installation to avoid any issues.
Can I install privacy slats on a flexible fence?
It’s not recommended to install rigid slats or dense screens on flexible wire mesh, which is common in older Bordeaux gardens. Strong winds can push over these fences during storms. For this type of support, choose a lightweight windbreak net or consider upgrading to rigid panels for better security.
